![]() ![]() It just goes back to the question of why they cast a newcomer like him in the first place. I'm trying to be somewhat understanding towards him, because playing Pucci would be a tall ask for anyone. His yells are also really weak (likely because he's trying to maintain the voice at the same time) – they honestly remind me of fandubbers who are scared to raise their voice because they'll wake their mom in the next room. The poor script, his lack of experience, and that fact that he's juggling a put-on voice all at the same time are holding him back, and he never figures out how to overcome them. Yong's barely been doing voice acting for two years, and he's barely been in anything. When you don't have that, you often have to fall back on your experience as an actor and other productions you've done to figure out what can work. A good script gives you guideposts that help you figure out where you should take a character. So uh.it only plays like once that I know of in the series, the 'Killer' sounding portion. Yong's still clearly struggling with that. Yoshiro Kiras Theme mixed with Bow and Arrow at the start. Persona 5 showed that a clunky script can still be saved if the actor can figure out how to bring it to life. Even when you put aside what he's done outside of voice acting, and the casting decision, his acting is just weak. We still don't have full English credits, even though they're available for all other languages.īut going back to Pucci, Yong Yea just isn't cutting it. The whole production just seems weird to me. Diavolo especially had a way with words that was always fun to listen to. It's really disappointing, because I think that one thing Golden Wind's dub doesn't get enough credit for is its ADR scriptwriting. ![]()
